I’ve recently finished boarding (using OSB loft boards) around 1/3 of my loft, adding almost 25m² of storage space.After researching options, I went for the LoftZone system as it looked very rigid and simple to install.I was quoted over £3800 for a professional installation, including adding an extra 200mm of insulation and a new hatch/ladder but did the whole lot myself for around £1600. There are plenty of videos on YouTube showing what is involved and any competent DIYer could do this with ease.I’m very pleased with the result and would highly recommend Loftzone products to anyone thinking of improving their loft storage options.The delivery was quick and I was kept informed of progress all along the way.My only issue was that the 1.8m beams only measure 1.75m and I needed to fiddle things around a bit when installing. I don’t know if this also applies with the other lengths they supply but it would be worth confirming if the exact lengths are critical to your particular installation.

The delivery time was really quick and arrived on a pallet with no problem at all.Installing it was relatively straightforward, obviously working in a loft with insulation is cramped and hot but the kit is holding up well and is a much better use of space.Used an electric screwdriver at first, which was fine (although a bit slow) but managed to borrow an impact driver for attaching the boards which flew through them!All in all, impressed with the product and service.

I first bought from Loftzone last year when we decided to just boards over half our loft (130 year old house) and the experience was relativly easy. Due to our house have odd spaces between rafters some of the rails needed cutting down but very easy to do.Easy to install, clever idea and once you get going it gets easier and easier.Fast delivery, super quality packaging, instructions and manufacturing quality. Highly recommded over old style struts.Note : the compact supports are designed as both main support and single support (very clever design).. whereas the full sized support has separate uni-supports.Tools I used - Angle Grinder with cutting disk, standard jig saw for minor adjustments to panels, electric screwdriver with both long and short hex extensions, measuring tape, mallet and also due to one rafter being slightly warped and rising, a multitool to take out a minor amount of woof for even sitting. And of course gloves and goggles.(images of half of attic uploaded as not fully done second half, new vertical struts are for foil insulation and white hardboard shell - still allowing of course for airflow once complete)

Excellent product. Ordered the 2.4x2.4 deck minus boards as I picked these up locally. As a keen DIY'er, this was my first time working with Loftzone system. Recommend checking out the YouTube videos available but there are also clear written guides available. Hardest part is getting the first row of supports lined up and in place, the rest follow suit. I fould I was able to maniuplate the kit to account for obsticles such as the loft hatch and gable end wood work. I wondered how sturdy the deck would be after completing half of it, adding the remainder alleviated my concerns as it is now quite solid! Have a massive 2.1x5.5m section to do next which will be fun but thankfully it can all be done in sections. Really recommend the product, will be buying from them again!

For several years I have been considering increasing the insulation in the loft, which would involve removing the existing floor and replacing it. I was not convinced about using the individual plastic stilts sold by the DIY chains. I came across LoftZone by accident and thought their system would be ideal. I am a competent DIYer and found the system easy to install and am very pleased the the final results. I would certainly recommend them to others.

Not quite finished but it's proved to be a great system and much sturdier than I expected, easy to fit once you get the hang of it. I just cut a piece of 2x1 batten to the correct tri-support spacing to save me using the tape everytime. I would highly recommend for anyone in a new build like myself. The loft hatch and ladder I bought from them is also great.

As a novice DIYer I was apprehensive about converting the loft by myself but I was amazed how simple it was!The kit was straight forward to put together and the online guidance was a fantastic resource. It took a little while to lay the first few boards but after I got the hang of it I was able to lay a board every 10minutes and completed a large section of the loft within the day.I highly recommend the product especially if you are looking to create additional storage space in your loft without compromising the insulation. This project has given me more confidence at DIY and will definitely buy further kits from loft zone to finish off the attic.Great product all round.

Please remember when reading this review I am just a bloke with some tools. I work in an office!I like to start my reviews with feedback or negatives, I struggle to find any about the company or the product. I did find it slightly confusing as what to order and did have to return a few bits and order a few extras.My loft now has an amazing floating floor with 300mm loft insulation under it. Not tooting my own horn but it looks professional, I will try and upload a picture. I have made some video snippets as I go along which I hope to make into a Youtube video.So as I said this is not my profession, I don't have lasers and fancy fitting equipment. I pretty much managed with a long spirit level, metal meter stick and my Bosch 18v screwdriver. The end result is fantastic.The product is very easy to use and idiot proof, suits me to a T. The plastic supports look a bit weak online to my mind but they are very well thought out, strong and well built. The metal beams are also well constructed and easy to get to grips with.The longest and hardest bit for me was getting the 1st run across the loft in. Once that was done the rest of them flew in. I did space them out at 400mm rather the recommended 600mm. Only because the 600mm would of given me a much smaller floor area due to layout of the 100 year old loft. Also putting it closer allowed me to use a slightly thinner tounge and groove OSB board. It is worth pointing out my loft is quite irregular in design so some adaption was required. I should point out I'm 22 stone as well and the floor is still standing!I was worried about adding weight to the loft but the individual pieces are not heavy at all.They also offer a 90 day refund on unused parts, which is great for those over engineers among us. I have kept 2 spare supports just in case.100% recommend this product and the company, very well thought out.

Boarded an area 4.2m x 2.3m. It took about 8 hours to install. When its all screwed down the floor feels very stable, and no movement in it at all. As it was 4.2m long I use 2 x 1.2 m plus 1 x 1.8m cross beam. Very pleased with the result, and would recommend it.Needed a bit of planning as the loft hatch cuts into the edge of the boarded area.Also used a 375mm shelving kit and put a couple of spare loft boards on them to get a bit more storage space.

Brilliant service, quick quality workmanship.Given the increase in energy prices we wanted to add more insulation to our loft but no compromise storage space.I attempted to do this by myself but it was quite time consuming to do by yourself.In the end we opted to go for instaloft given they are quick dispose of the rubbish and have a life time warranty.The team stripped the loft in one day, topped up the main area with more insulation and complete the work the following day.They didn’t leave any mess and moved all the plugs for us too.The new ladder we have is safer and easy to use.We are genuinely glad we decided to go with instaloft. Best of all the finance plan makes it easier to pay it off in a manageable manner.

A very good and easy to use product, I can't imagine how much faff it would be to achieve the same result without it. Extremely sturdy once all screwed together, makes going into the loft easy rather than a stress of trying not to fall through the plasterboard! A couple of boards were damaged when they arrived, but they were quickly replaced after I contacted customer support

Loftzone shelving system is brilliant. The website was very easy to understand, it was very easy to place and check the progress of my order, I was kept well informed of the progress of my order & delivery date, which I must add was also within days of my placing my order. I purchased an additional small rectangular store floor to supplement the previous one I had fitted. Easy to install, well thought out and sturdy. I was looking for raised loft flooring solutions when I came across Loftzone. I watched the installation videos and decided to install the system myself. I bought the medium pack and had all the Loftzone fittings in place on the first day. As I knew I was going to be in an awkward, hostile attic environment I decided beforehand to make some wooden templates to set the gaps between the "Tri's and Uni's"supports, which I believe hastened the fitting. The rails and supports are a bit rickety, but once the loft boards are screwed down the whole floor was solid. Would definitely recommend this system.

Received my LoftZone kit yesterday and fitted it today. Really easy to install with clear instructions. The LoftZone storefloor system is great! I reinsulated our loft and installed a 1.8m x 3.6m storefloor kit in a weekend. It was easy so easy to install with online tutorials to view in preparation.It was also very reasonably priced and came with all the fixtures to complete the job.I cannot recommend this product highly enough and I will be ordering additional parts to extend the storefloor soon.

Recently bought a loftzone kit 1.8x4.8m for our new build house. Conscious that we didn’t want to void our 10 year builders guarantee this was the only product we could find on the market that boasted the ability to raise the loft floor above the insulation keeping the air flowing and not voiding our guarantee. Advice was quick and easy via email and installation by myself was a breeze after watching their YouTube video. Highly recommend.

Fantastic bit of kit, I’d say it’s the best available on the market.I bought the 6x6 meter kit and added some uni supports so I could put one under every beam just to be sure it’s rigid as possible.This has taken me the best part of 4 days work single handed, the hatch took me a whole day of that to complete on my own.For anyone who has a new build or an old build with added insulation then I’d say consider this product as the results are brilliant. The total size of the build is 8 x 3.6 meters and has cost around £800 in total, this includes the kit, boards, electrics, hatch and ladder kit. Looking forward to using it now. We moved into a new build property at the end of May and wanted to board the loft out for some useful storage space.I’d been researching the best options for this, based on the amount of insulation in the property and found this product.I initially order the extra large kit but with hindsight wish I had ordered the XXL as I had to order more parts to finish the job.The weather hasn’t helped with temperatures in the loft being above 30 degrees so it took longer than expected and I completed the job over a few weekends.I am not a tradesman, and my DIY skills aren’t great, I’m more used to spreadsheets than power tools but thought I’d give it a go. It would have cost be about £1,200 to have this fitted which buys a lot of tools.There are definitely some essentials you will need:GlovesDusk maskWorkbench Circular sawJigsawImpact driver (this is a must)Then the usual tape measure, pens etc.The finished product is great, really solid and once the frame was down which was the hardest part, screwing the boards to it was straight forward.I had made some wood battens the size I needed between the supports which was much easier than trying to measure each one with the existing insulation in the way. The fact they do raise above the joists is great as you have no issues with wires or anything in the way of the boards.In the end I used about 1,400 screws and 150 loft boards, then I bought some plastic trim to go around the edge of the opening to tidy it up. You’ll notice there is also a platform there at the joist level which makes it easy to lift things in and out of the loft.I had also had the small loft hatch replaced in advance by a joiner who cut a larger hole and then fitted the wooden loft ladder and hatch I had ordered online. The lights were also fitted by an electrician before I started the work as without decent light it would have been a much harder job.Would highly recommend this product and no probs with DIY installation if you’ve got the right tools.

We used loftzone over 3 years ago.The worst/hardest part of working in the loft, is it's not a nice environment, hot and itchy. This however made the process so much faster and easier. I've recommended it to friends and family over the years, and all that have used it are happy with it too.Also, I recall customer service was excellent. Sorry it's late, but highly recommended product!

I have just fitted the medium kit in my new-build loft. It took me about 5 hours and saved me over £400 compared to the quote I had from a couple of loft flooring installation companies. No snags whatsoever, and I am not a keen DIYer. In fact I hate working in the loft, but this product made it as easy as it can be. I am very pleased with the end result, and would highly recommend this product.

What an excellent product. It is very easy to install and very quick. There is also a degree of flexibility and margin within the design which allows it to be installed on top of irregular joists and around protruding roof supports. The quality of the materials provided also appears to be very high, and I have plenty of confidence in the resulting raised floor. I have also found the loftzone staff to be very friendly and helpful when I have spoken with them.

I've just installed the large kit in my Victorian loft. The joists were awkwardly spaced and some of them a bit wonky, but the product is so cleverly designed that I got round the "period features" without much trouble. The resulting floor seems very secure and rigid. It's a brilliant way to create a clean, usable space out of something that was filthy and dangerous.
